A deadly shooting in Memphis turned into an hours-long manhunt across state lines before the suspect was found dead in Mississippi.
Memphis police responded to a home on Racquetball Lane around 7:30 a.m. and found a woman who had been shot and killed. Her two children were also missing from the scene.
Police said the suspected shooter, 35-year-old Larry Berry, had previously been in a relationship with the victim. Investigators said he left the area in a black Mercedes with the two children.
Thankfully, the children were later found safe in Mississippi.
The search for Berry continued with help from several local, state and federal agencies. Investigators eventually found him in a wooded area near Marks, Mississippi, with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead while being transported to a hospital.

Police say the investigation is still ongoing and more information may be released.
