From coffee runs to dinner with friends, Ole Miss Kappa Kappa Gamma President Freddie Reinhard shares six of her favorite places around Oxford, Mississippi.
Oxford, Mississippi, is known for its Southern charm, lively college atmosphere and, of course, its food scene. With so many restaurants, coffee shops and local hangouts to choose from, it can be hard to decide where to go next.
Luckily, Freddie Reinhard knows a thing or two about life in Oxford.
As president of the Delta Rho chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma at the University of Mississippi, Reinhard is a familiar face in the Ole Miss Greek life community. Between her responsibilities as chapter president, campus involvement, panhellenic involvement, and spending time with friends, she has gotten to know some of Oxford’s most popular spots.
In an interview about her favorite local places, Reinhard shared six Oxford businesses that have earned a place on her list.
1. Crosstown Sips
For a coffee run or a refreshing drink during a busy day, Crosstown Sips makes Reinhard’s list of Oxford favorites.
Whether you’re looking for a quick pick-me-up before class or somewhere to make you a carefully crafter loaded tea, Crosstown Sips is a spot worth checking out. They have a huge arrangement of tea flavors to pick from.
Perfect for: A morning buzz or an afternoon pick-me-up.
2. Jinsei
If you’re craving sushi or planning a dinner out, Jinsei is another one of Reinhard’s top Oxford picks.
Known for its Japanese-inspired menu and stylish atmosphere, Jinsei is a popular option for students looking to enjoy a dinner with friends or celebrate a special occasion.
Perfect for: Sushi nights, birthdays and dinner with friends.
3. Saint Leo
Located on Oxford’s historic Square, Saint Leo is another restaurant Reinhard recommends.
With its Italian-inspired menu, pizza and inviting atmosphere, Saint Leo offers a dining experience that feels a little more special than an everyday meal.
It’s an option for everything from a date night to a girls’ dinner or a visit from family.
Perfect for: Date nights, family visits and dinner on the Square.
4. Bouré
You can’t talk about Oxford’s restaurant scene without mentioning the Square, and Bouré is another one of Reinhard’s favorites.
With Southern-inspired food and a location in the heart of downtown Oxford, Bouré is a classic choice for a meal with friends or family.
Its upstairs balcony is also a recognizable part of the Oxford dining experience.
Perfect for: A Southern meal, lunch with friends or taking visitors around Oxford.

5. Oxford Burger Company
Sometimes, nothing sounds better than a good burger.
Oxford Burger Company earns a spot on Reinhard’s list for those days when you’re craving something casual and satisfying.
For students looking for a laid-back meal without making a big occasion out of dinner, this is one to add to the rotation.
Perfect for: Casual lunches, burger cravings and meals with friends.

6. Good Day Cafe
Rounding out Reinhard’s list is Good Day Cafe, another Oxford favorite.
Whether you’re looking to change up your usual lunch routine or discover another local spot, Good Day Cafe is one of the places Reinhard thinks deserves a visit.
Perfect for: A casual daytime outing or trying somewhere new.
Oxford Through Freddie’s Eyes
One of the things that makes Oxford special is the number of local businesses that give the town its personality.
From grabbing a drink at Crosstown Sips to enjoying a night out at Jinsei or Saint Leo, Reinhard’s recommendations offer a little bit of everything.
As a student leader involved in one of Ole Miss’s prominent Greek organizations, Reinhard brings a student perspective to exploring Oxford. Her six picks give both longtime residents and newcomers a starting point for their next outing.
So, the next time you and your friends are stuck asking, “Where should we go?” take a recommendation from Freddie Reinhard and try somewhere on this list.
You might just find your new favorite Oxford spot.
